that you will actually use! Dont join one that will give you
any excuses to avoid going. Distance, layout, cost and even
parking can be problems. Take that free trail period to sort
out if its right for you before commiting.

Always warm
up properly. Not necessarily cardio, but stretching appropriate
muscles gets them pumping blood ready for big sets. Who cares
if you look or feel like a sissy, cos its
important!

and can provide help for setting up machines etc. It can double
your sticking power if you go to the gym with someone
else!

supersetting, try and super set with muscle groups that

plenty of water while you train. Sip frequently and stay
hydrated. This keeps your system active and keeps you

off days are relaxed and you get the right amount of sleep.
Re-building on your days off is where your body makes its

Quit
smoking. That smoke depletes oxygen to the muscles and you wont
get as big. Period. Plus, you'll live longer!

believe myths about beer before or after training. While the
carbo loading has merit, the sugar and the alcohol negates the
whole lot! Stick with a quality sports beverage for electrolyte
replacement, like Gatorade or something
better.

to the reps within a set. Try and slightly vary the technique
as you become more and more comfortable with the weight. This
will lead to a better shaped and defined

gloves or hand ties when pushing bigger weights. They will

callouses!

train'. Your body needs to recover for a reason. Its what puts
on the size! Stay at home, rest and get your diet 100% right
for the day. To much gym time reduces the ability to build
