Whey Protien Side
Effects
Most people
who want to gain muscle mass, will either try or consider
trying a whey protein product, powder or supplement. It is
undoubtably the most
popular food that weight gainers and mucle gainers
use.
That,
however, is where the problem can lie for many beginners and
those who do not do alot of research into their products. The
difference bewteen weight gainers and muscle gainers are very
important to distinguish. The problem lies in the marketing of
the products, and how they are presented to people who are
uneducated on the difference.
You see,
side effects from taking weight gainer, is that you will most
likely put on large amounts of fat and retain fluids. These
products do have a place in the market, but it is very narrow
and certainly not for the 'masses'. Why they are often bought
and where the horrible whey protein side effects happen, is
that they are sold very much alongside true whey proteins, and
the packaging used is very similar. Often buyers who arent
aware of the subtle name differences, pick up the wrong product
and the disaster begins!
Whats more
the names are very confusing, and can lead to poor choices.
Some products will be called 'Massive Size Gainer' or 'Muscle
Mass Gainer' etc, and will feature pictures of ripped up muscle
men.
These sort
of products contain heaps of carbo and alot of sugar, so that
kilo's are piled on, mostly in the form of hard fats. They are
taken by wrestlers, competiton weight lifters and people who
have such high metabolism that they cannot ever put fat
on. This is NOT what you
want!
Some
examples of weight gain products, I would steer well clear
of,
if you want
muscle, not flab!:
So what
should you really be doing? How do you know if the product is
what you need for muscle gain, and not flab gain? Well,
avoiding these bad decision side effects is as easy as becoming
a little more educated on just what a proper whey protein
powder should compromise.
Spending 5
minutes researching, could save you hours and hours of gym work
getting rid of that weight! My article on whey protein powder
wil set you on the right track.
